I have to go to work early today. Hrm. Definitely not looking forward to it because it means I have to go to this small focus group that was assigned by the company, and it's a 2-hour session with a bunch of people I don't know, and that director that is just inappropriate. We had a big meeting yesterday, half the company crammed into a hotel ballroom, and she was on the other side of the room, had a seat, and saw me walk in with someone else and find a seat somewhere else, then *SHOVED* her way through the crowd to park her obese body next to me (with 3 empty seats next to her on the other side) and squeeze me into the woman I'd shown up with. And then proceeded to ask me personal questions that were none of her business, that I never would have volunteered to begin with. She has no concept of invading someone's personal space, so I was stuck with half of my body pressed against hers for an hour, and there wasn't a goddamn thing I could do about it. FUCK. When I go to a meeting, I walk in and find a seat and stay there. I don't scan the room and then fight my way around to make someone else uncomfortable.
Which means going to today's smaller focus group, I won't have any way to avoid her for 2 hours. I'm trying to think of strategies to try this. Like if I show up before she does, I won't pick out a seat until she has, so I can sit somewhere else. Or, pick out a seat between two other already occupied seats. If she gets there first, I need to find a seat with people on either side already or she'll just vacate whatever seat she's already in and come sit to me. WHY THE FUCK DOES SHE THINK I'M HER GODDAMN BEST FRIEND?!?!
Alright. So I have to leave now, even though I would normally just be getting out of bed. *Growl*
bad managers,
