Well, that's an interesting point. *considers that* I liked that most of S1 episodes had such a direct relationship to the subject of the episode. Usually, referencing the MOTW itself. Other than being a familiar phrase, even Dead in the Water, if interpreted literally, does this. Asylum, Home, Route 666, location. Hell House does both, in a way. Faith (like Home, actually) was a little more abstract, and covered a LOT of ground, but still, subject.

The last five episodes are what really mark a departure, to a certain extent. Something Wicked references neither a location nor a creature/supernatural thing, nor is it really the subject/topic in any way. It's a familiar phrase, and succinct. It makes me think of witches, so in a misleading way it did kind of seem to reference the shtriga--which turned out to be male, and then I felt cheated. XD

Provenance... eh. Subject, in a way. Clever. I liked it. Dead Man's Blood did throw me off, a lot. I didn't recognize it at all. It does vaguely sound piratey, but it's still off. It does relate to the episode, but in a more tilted way. It's the solution, not the problem; not as direct. Still, clever. Salvation was location again, again, but layered in an abstract way. Devil's Trap was delightful. Location, subject, AND solution. Beautiful.

...I am sorry for rambling at you, too. I wasn't going to do it again! XD;

Lol, I never complain when people ramble at/with me, I just love that I'm in a fandom where people think this much about the episode titles :D

Dude, for real. This fandom's meta is awesome.

I never really liked meta before, but now, I just eat it up, and can get the same feeling from reading good meta than from reading a good fic. Tis weird.

It happens when you really, truly fall in love with a fandom.
