Hi, flist! WOW it's been a while. I've been up to my eyeballs in projects. This weekend was Metrocon, a local anime convention that I love oh-so-very much, and I just spent the last 14 days straight working on my cosplay - Rose, from Legend of Dragoon. One of my teachers did Shana and went with me, and we had a great time! As a consolation for ( Read more... )

It must have been totally thrilling to see your designs on the runway--I got excited just seeing the video!

Amazing work!

I was super psyched with the light-up dress, in the test run all of the yellow flowers didn't glow because they had the wrong kind of UV, so I didn't think they would light up on stage the way I'd planned, which was a disappointment, so then when they lit up like that I was like !!!!!!! :D 11!!!!!! \o/ *throws confetti* Lol.

Those are all so fabulous. I hope the emcee buys your dress! My favorite one is the silk taffeta; it really suits your model.

Thanks! I was very surprised about the taffeta myself, it was so simple compared to the other pieces but I REALLY loved it. It was just so cute on her, she was a sweetheart. :)

Thank you! I enjoy seeing things on the runway, but I think I enjoy the convention circuit much more - even if it isn't a piece for me to wear, at least it gets worn more than 5 seconds. MONTHS of work for a 5 second payoff gets kind of old after your first few shows. The longer I stay in school the more sure I am I want to go into costume and wardrobe. (Not that anyone is surprised, lol.)

Thanks! I hope so too, darn her and her extremely odd, highly customized measurements. *shakes fist*

LOL, it does indeed seem that there has been a Great LJ Migration of late. See you on Twitter it is. :)

Thank'ee! I'm also so frickin' exhaustedddddddd.

My teacher is already hitting me up with cosplay ideas for next year. SHE IS SO FREAKING CUTE. Ha.

(She is thinking Rangiku and Haineko from Bleach - because I've been wanting to do Rangiku for a while and if she goes as Haineko she can call me an old lady all day, which she finds hysterical, as she is in her upper 40's, not that you would EVER know.)
