Memes from alwaysenduphere!

Fandom Meme!
Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Supernatural

1) Definitely the writer's strike. I had watched from day one, but the very real fear of losing Show forever kicked me on to the internet. I signed about a billion petitions, discovered PWT, and BAM. End of the world as we know it.
2) I'm in until Show ends, for sure. This is my first REAL fandom, and obviously it's sort of a nutsy fandom to be your first, lol. When Show is over, I honestly don't know what I'll do with the rest of my life, but I do know that I will always always ALWAYS take the people that I've come to make my family with me.
3) WOW, favorite eps. Uh - how about I give you the first ten that pop into my head ... AHBL2, AVSC, On The Head of a Pin, Frontierland, Death's Door, When the Levy Breaks, Heart, Pilot, MBV, Born Under a Bad Sign.
4) Yes. Fic, vids, meta, reviews - to be honest I have more or less quit fandom at large, in that I post things here and talk to whoever comes by, but with school and everything I don't have time to really search out and read other people's stuff any more. It's kind of nice because I don't stumble upon hatings, and I get to enjoy the hell out of this season in relative fannish glee.
5) YES. I love watching new people watch for the first time. I have 3 people at school trying to catch up right now - I call them the Netflix generation. I break fandom into 4 waves - Originals, S4s, Anime kids, and Netflix Gen'rs.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

1) I finally watched Avatar waaaay too late to get in on the original fandom, but I CANNOT WAIT TO JUMP INTO THE KORRA FANDOM!! :D But I don't think I'll contribute on the level of Spn - I will be happy just squeeing with a few select fellow watchers and obsessively hoarding tumblr gifs. :)
2) Again, not really IN the fandom, and I may move on from internet interactions over it, but I will NEVER stop loving this story. I re-watch the DVDs quite often. :)
3) THE PLAY EPISODE!!! And the Secret Tunnel - my friend Rubi and I used to jerk to a halt in the middle of the hallway at work and randomly yell 'AAAAAND DIIIIIIIIIIIE!', lol. And I love just EVERYTHING with Zuko. The Boiling Rock, parts 1/2, HHHHNNNNGGHHHH. (And I forever ship Zuko/Mai. I REGRET NOTHING.)
4) I cosplayed The Painted Lady once. :)
5) YEEESSS!!!! I WANT PEOPLE TO WATCH KORRA AND THEN GO BACK AND WATCH AIRBENDER AND LOVE THEM BOTH SO SO SO MUCH LIKE I DOOOOOO.

Vampire Diaries

1) Not in the fandom, but I watched from day 1. Interesting story - I started watching because my friend Lisa who works at Sea World in the Pet Show department trained Damon's raven for the pilot, and I wanted to see what the raven did. All it did was fly around but trust me, not an easy gig. ;) Originally we were watching to mock the show because we are huge Twilight haters, but within 5 episodes, DAMN, it hooked the hell out of me. I've never re-watched an ep, but I've never missed one, either.
2) Move on.
3) I don't know the episode names, but the one with Caroline helping Tyler turn the first time, and the one where Rose dies are both just ... *flail*. OH AND THE ONE WHERE DAMON ALMOST DIED THE SAME WAY, *SOOOOOB*. And all the ones with Damon and Alaric being angstily bromantic. Which is all of them.
4) Nope, I just watch the eps and scream at my screen a lot.
5) Lol well, obviously I'm not really in it, so I can't say, but it is a GREAT fun show, and the cast is great. In fact, a lot of SPN alumni end up on TVD and it's always nice to see them. I went to a TVD panel recently and FINALLY met Lauren Cohan and got her to sign my SPN poster - ABOUT DANG TIME. Joseph Morgan is HOT and a sweetheart and is all enamored with Jared ever since their TCA panel and wants to do a crossover. Sam Winchester VS Klaus? YES PLZ. I guess if I was going to say I want more people in the fandom, it would be that I want GOOD. GEN.  SPN writers to join the TVD fandom and write me brilliant crossovers.

Icon Meme!

1. Reply to this post with "I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS MORALLY DEPRAVED BAR" and I will pick five (or maybe ten!) of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

Ahh, Dolphin noises. I've had this for eons - got it because I didn't have any icons that properly conveyed that kind of excitement I get when I flap my hands really hard and nobody can understand me because my voice has jumped to a register that only dogs can hear.

BECAUSE ANDYYYYYYY!! :D :D :D I almost never use this, but I love it SO MUCH. Because Andy.

Metallica + Impala = Metallicar, OBV.
We call her Baby now, but I still see *rock music plays* in my head every time she rolls up. :)

Shadow + Demon eyes = a whole lot of OMGWTFBBQPOLARBEARS.
I use this icon for Repo. Because it is bloody and Dean has demon eyes and Shadow makes me cry.

It's where the key goes.  blacklid has the keys in her icons. :)

So, alwaysenduphere picked these icons for me. Clearly she hates me because I could write a NOVEL about this icon. :P Ok, so this is a picture of my ultimate OTP, Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila, who my lj name is named after.

*SPOILERS FOR THE NEW JEDI ORDER*

I am/was a Star Wars fanatic in jr high and high school. I read every novel, I watched the movies obsessively. In case you may not have noticed, I have a rather addictive personality. :P It consumed my life, I would not even lie. Then, the New Jedi Order novels started coming out. They were BEAUTIFUL ... at first. They shifted the story to the younger generation, they introduced a completely bad-ass new threat, they put the Empire behind us once and for all ... and then came the Noob writers. The noob writers wanted to write Star Wars. They wanted to write the Star Wars they group up with, I guess. They started killing kids. They started erasing new planets and writing their own as substitutes. It got worse and worse until I thought I couldn't take it any more, but there was still ONE bright spot in the universe - Anakin Solo. Anakin was our last hope for the future, and his best friend, Tahiri, and him were inseparable. Somehow in the midst of all the crazy, they started to come together. They were still young, and they were still figuring it out, but they were soulmates, and it was going to be AMAZING.

Then Tahiri got captured by the yhuzzan vong. They tortured and experimented on her, trying to figure out how The Force worked, and ended up splicing her soul together with the essence of a young yhuzzan vong warrior girl. She didn't know what was real and what wasn't, or who she was - but Anakin brought her back. He was the only one who could get through to her and help her remember. She started doing better.

Then ... *moment of silence* ... Some new writer came in and thought it would be dramatic to kill Anakin. KILL. ANAKIN. It broke me. I literally set the book down and walked away. I wrote off the NJO completely, and apparently just in time, because they went on to continue killing until everyone I'd ever loved was dead, except for my girl, Tahiri. I caught up with her a few years ago. Turned out, Anakin's death broke her, too. Unable to fight off her other self without him, she decided instead to sacrifice both halves of her soul as individuals, and melded them together to become a whole new person. Admittedly, she was pretty effing kick ass, but it was still horribly sad. I literally have never been derailed from a fandom like that. It still pisses me off SO MUCH.

So anyway. Um. Yay, Star Wars? *Headdesk*
