Someone asked me for a reason that I think Sam and Dean are still watchable characters that has nothing to do with them being hot. He has so much to show us still. He is the perfect big brother and his loyalty and caring run deeper then anything else, his father's commands or his own hurt. His family is one part blood, two parts adopted but he loves them all so much that betrayal by them is one of the worst things you could do. Nevermind torture, or death, or even hell. Seeing the people he loves the most suffer or hurt him is worse then all of that.
The reason I can't quit Sam is..
He tries so hard to do what he thinks is right even when others tell him he's wrong. He wants nothing more then safety and for the people around him to be safe, and it hurts him that he can't gaurentee that in this line of work. He is sensitive and cares about the well-being of others, but is unmmoving when it comes to the truth: His family is everything.

This show has been there for me when I need it, taking me from my own world when I feel like I can't be in it anymore. the relationship between the two of them is something I envy and makes me want to be better to my own little brother. It's more then entertainment, it's more then a fucking fantastic story. It's wonderful and enchanting and Escape.

Why I can't quit Castiel is...
Oh Cas. He tries to be loyal, to his father, friends, brothers, and no matter what he does he feels as if he's betraying somebody. His doubts confuse him and then enlighten him until he has no choice to do what is right, because beyond his loyalty he is good. In his heart, in his head, he has to do what is right for the world beyond anything else, even when doing right is somehow wrong.
