Last night I was at my brother's house and we were watching a 20/20.
There was a report about a 14 year old girl who was raped when she was 9 by her uncle in law or something. Upon the mother's finding this information out, she immediate grabbed her gun, and went to the perpetrator's work. She asked him "Is this true?" to which his response was "What are you going to do about it". She then proceeded to fire 8 rounds into his chest (yes...8...she reloaded).
She then drove to the sheriff's office and turned herself in. Basically, she ended up with 2nd degree manslaughter and 6 months in jail because she was (quite understandably IMO) under a significant emotional strain, feeling like she had not met her responsibility as a parent appropriately.
What do you guys think? Was justice served?
