The interpretation of Murder - Jed Rubenfeld

Finally I finished the book, it took me more time then expected.  It is a very clever book, it depicts the turn of the last century New York very well. The way Rubenfeld wrote about building of the one of the massive bridges over the Hudson, the race for the tallest building in the city and the regal society of that period was real charming and colourful. The murder story of a young girl who was murdered in one of the upscale apartments of Manhattan was fun to read, a great whodunnit with lots of suspects, twists and mystery. The way Freud and his theories were used in the story was very intelligently done. Rubenfeld mixed fiction with reality in a completely believable way. It was not Freud who was the main character, but the man who was his host in the USA.

Real smart book, lots of suspense and a great read. I recommend it.
