Ten "I thought you would have cowboy sheets," Reid whispered as he and Morgan lay in the dark.
"Unlike you, I left for college at 18... not 12. I was pretty much over cowboys by then."
"So you were into cowboys. I knew it."
"Oh hush. Aren't you tired? We were driving all day."
"I am, but I'm also itching to riffle through your stuff when you're not looking."
"You won't find much. A football, maybe. I took most of my stuff with me."
"I wish I had my glow in the dark T-Rex," Reid said almost too quiet for Morgan to hear.
"Was it left in Vegas?" Morgan asked touching Reid's arm lightly.
"My mom probably threw it out before she went to the hospital. She could only take so much with her. I don't even know what made me think of it. Talking about childhood I guess."
Morgan was unsure of what to say. "It's okay."
"Well, goodnight Morgan," Reid said rolling onto his side.
"Goodnight. Dream of glow in the dark dinosaurs."
Reid chuckled. "Shut up cowboy lover."

It was 11:00 PM in Chicago making it about three hours since Hotchner had shot the assassin sent for him. Granted, Morgan and Reid still knew nothing about that. He had just finally reached Penelope at the commune.
"Mr. H. It's great to see your face," she said as her image appeared on the screen.
"I'm glad you made it Pen. Hey are J.J., Emily, Morgan and Reid with you?"
"Negative on Morgan and Reid. They continued to Chicago. J.J. is currently getting ready to hit the hay. Emily... she didn't make it."
"Was she shot?" Hotchner blurted.
"What? No! She was bitten. Why would you ask such a thing?"
"Pen, did you guys forget to mention something to me when you were here? I just had someone come to kill me."
The colour drained from Penelope's face. "Oh my God. Emily said once that she was a spy, but she never said it was cause to worry."
"She was obviously in deep. The jet had the president's seal on it. Pen, I think they want all of us dead in case she told any of us anything. You have to warn Morgan and Reid."
"You got it Mr. H. Will you be okay out there alone?"
"I'm fine Pen. You stay safe."
"You do." With that Penelope's image flickered and disappeared. Hotchner closed his laptop and double checked that all his guns were loaded. He really didn't want to leave home, but his bags were packed just in case someone came back to get the jet.
He guessed the odds of that were high. He sat down at the kitchen table. He had made some tea and something that resembled food. Jack's picture in front of him, he began to eat.
"Don't worry Buddy. Dad'll get the bad guys."

It was 11:30 PM in Chicago making it about half an hour since Hotchner called Penelope. Morgan and Reid were still oblivious to it all as they lay in Morgan's childhood bed.
Penelope rushed into J.J.'s room and told her everything Hotchner had told her.
"J.J. I'm scared. I think Em might have told Morgan before... he had to..." She looked to the floor nervously.
"What do you mean?"
"Morgan started asking me about Em's past. He even tried to hack into my system to see if I had anything there. I told Em and she might have told him before... She didn't think she was in danger."
"We got to get to Chicago," J.J. said bolting out of bed. "Morgan is in more trouble than the rest of us if they find out."
"What about Hotchner? I feel bad leaving him on the other side of the country."
"Tell him where we're going and why in case he needs to join us. Right now, I see no point in waiting for him. The faster we move the better."
"You're right. I guess it is a good thing they didn't take my bus after all."
"I'll do supplies. You do our personal belongings," J.J. said as she went through the cupboards looking for non-perishable items.
"We aren't coming back?" Penelpe asked even though she really didn't want to come back if they were unsuccessful either. They'd find out this is where they went.
"The president's involved in trying to kill an innocent man? I don't want to live somewhere where they act like there's nothing wrong in the world."
"But will Chicago be safe? It's a contained neighborhood. You know, run by the government."
"We'll have to take the chance."

It was 12:00 AM in Chicago as well as Washington D.C. Elle had finally finished putting together the files on everyone who had traveled with Agent Prentiss. She wondered if Rossi was still awake. He probably was. She dialed his private line.
"Tell me you have good news Elle," he said.
"The files you requested are completed, but there is some trouble news too. Harris hasn't returned nor reported from California."
"Looks like Hotchner was a bigger problem than you expected. What about the others?"
"Penelope Garcia was a tech at IT. I have our best trying to hack into her system as we speak. Jennifer Jareau was a reporter for New York Times. Derek Morgan was a cop and was in L.A. Spencer Reid was a student."
"Quite a motley crew. None of them sound good. A computer geek and newsie could reveal everything. A trained killer to take care of me. Where does the student fit in?"
"Well, he is some sort of genius. Kid has an IQ of 187."
"Emily did work in mysterious ways, but she always got the job done. He must have his place on their team. I want you to find a new assassin and take care of them."
"As soon as I get their locations sir."
"Good job Elle. Don't fuck it up."

It was almost 1:00 AM in Chicago and Reid was fast asleep. Morgan was watching his chest rise and fall when he heard his laptop sound. He had a new piece of e-mail. It could only be Penelope. What was she doing up so late? He figured it could wait until the morning at least. She probably was only updating him on life in the commune. For now, he just wanted to enjoy this moment.
