What I nattered on about today:

08:14 Foggy and frosty outside this morning. 28 degrees, which I hope means the fog won't be freezing to my windshield all the way to work.

19:50 I need a new candy thermometer. Mine said that the fudge base (which had only just that moment come to a full roiling boil) was 400 degrees.

Lately I've been trying to branch out on which veggies I eat and how I prepare them, and to include some that I haven't traditionally appreciated much. I've learned how to do this braising thing on the stovetop, which works very well, and I'll be experimenting with the oven-based equivalent ( Read more... )
