I did not hate it--I definitely didn't hate it to the extent that some people are hating it.
At the same time, I did not love it enough to be happy seeing it a second or third time. Which is annoying, because I really liked a couple of characters and found others compelling, and I'd like to see them again

I can turn it off for less uneven movies; it's the sparks of subtle in the bombastic that made this a don't-see-twice, which is really, really annoying because dammit those sparks of subtle are interesting.
I do quite like the Huntsman. And Snow's got potential.

We could have cut the whole bad-cg-homage to Mononoke and swapped in a whole series of training montages of her getting taught to fight like she means it--'cause lord knows our Huntsman fights like that, and he recognises that she's tiny and can't do the same things he can. (Which, I gotta say I sort of <3)
I agree, it was nice that it wasn't a personal hate that threw Snow and the Queen into conflict.
I couldn't reconcile the Queen dressing herself by magic: we're told explicitly and implicitly that everything magical she does has a cost, and a heavy one. She wouldn't do that to herself for the clothes she wears everyday, y'know?
(Second rule of fantasy forests: do. not. shoot the damn Forest Spirit.)
