Oh joy, captains came to Hueco Mundo! That's far more interesting than the arrankar. It's interesting what sort of captains were sent. Mayuri and Unohana are fairly specialized, and in a way Kenpachi is, too - he's like heavy cavalry. Is Byakuya specialized? With his speed and his kido techniques I guess he's like light cavalry, more mobile and

I was wrong about all arrankar being nasty and boring: Nell is quite lovely. And I am soothed by knowing her minions at least at some point in their lives talked more or less normally.

I've come to the filler episodes in my Bleach catch-up, and they are boring. I once discussed with a friend reasons for boring fillers, and she supposed that it's because the development of the characters is paused. I am trying to catch up with Bleach, but arrancar are sooo veeeery booooring....

Watching Bleach I keep comparing it with Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar in some aspects; for now my working hypothesis about zanpacto is that they're spirits of long dead shinigami.

I haven't been writing for a while (except for drabbles), but I keep getting weird writing ideas... Right now I suddenly realized that Bleach is due for a crossover with Supernatural. Except that I've only watched a couple of eps of Supernatural and certainly am not planning to write it (no matter what certain people say ;)).
