I have a weird relationship with my Tarot cards.
(Well. The fact that I have any kind of relationship with my Tarot cards is, of course, weird by itself - I am not usually one to personfy objects I use, no matter how I may like them. )
But. Any spread I do usually comes out... very literally (the most glaring example was 5 of Cups as a card of the day I took out once. It was generally a very fun day with the only blot on it being my friend overturning her cup of tea. Mostly on me).
This is probably not very surprising since I am, mostly, a very literal-minded person, and I don't deal well in symbols. The weird thing is that this is evident in my Tarot spreads. And it was the same in the few occasions I used other decks; but still - I began to be faintly curious about getting another deck. Just to see the differences - because I started to notice how the decks are different. Of course, that doesn't make any sense, since why would I need more than one deck? What would I do with another one?
... and then another deck happened to me. My mother bought a Tarot book as a gift for me, and the book had sheets of Tarot cards as an appendix. So, of course, I am cutting them out to see how it will be... but the trouble is, even though I haven't yet finished cutting, I doubt I'd be using this deck a lot. It is historical, a reproduction of a 19th century deck - and while it is historically interesting, I just... see nothing on these cards, except for quaint historical figures.
And this is kind of weird, too. Though I have even less reason to get a _third_ deck.
