I am looking at Jane Austen-inspired drawings in the Russian Austen LJ community herel; and for some reason the thing that bothers me about them is the colour. I do not know much about art and do not feel qualified to judge the techniques, but: what can it be that bothers me? The Austen illustrations I've seen look different, but that's not reason enough...
