I am a bit tired of being ill. I almost shook off my cold but after the funeral it got worse again.
The funeral was... unexpectedly moving. There was an Orthodox priest. I am not a fan of Orthodox church but this was better than the usual, where some official-type person spouts official-type platitudes about the deceased person. This was... almost beautiful. And once again, a winter funeral. Everyone seems to die in winter, somehow.
Oh, and thank you to everyone for your comments. I appreciated them, even though I've been too tired to answer.
Meanwhile I've been staying home and reading books - mostly fiction. For some reason my brain seems to be unable to deal with non-fiction. Though I read Chesterton's Everlasting Man, and if I had a functioning brain I would've compared it with Lewis's Mere Christianity. For now I can only say that it's my least favourite Chesterton up to date but I still like it better than Lewis. Maybe because Chesterton frankly tells a personalized story, and Lewis pretends to go by logic.
And then I finished all the unread fiction, couldn't go out to get more and didn't feel up to rereading, so I switched to watching anime. Mostly catching up with Bleach which is still a lot of fun - the fillers ended, but even the fillers had their moments (especially in Soul Society); but also some Death Note and D.Gray-man.
I hope I am getting better. I have to. I just am too tired of being not up to full speed (slow as my full speed usually is).
