[Prompt 14][Naruto][Shikamaru, Gaara][drabble]
I'm getting better at this one hundred word things, methinks.
Title: Cold

Summary: Response to prompt 14: Summer. Shikamaru felt cold the first time he spoke with Gaara.
A/N: I need to do some serious Gaara and Shikamaru interaction. These two guys are cool. Difficult, but cool.
The first time Shikamaru spoke with Gaara, he felt cold. Shikamaru wasn’t given to flights of fancy, but when facing Gaara, tenuously held with his kage mane, the young man felt a cold seep through him that burned. It was almost as if Gaara’s sand was already creeping toward him, sliding, grating over his skin and then down his throat, choking him.
When Gaara spoke, Shikamaru held his gaze as best he could, trembling against the nonexistent cold and knew that Gaara could feel him shaking.
Shikamaru longed for the summer sun when he stared into Gaara’s cold, dead eyes.
Yeah, I know. No one cares about these things. Too bad; I'll still spam what friends I have. XP
