Summary: He keeps hoping and praying she’ll see him again. HitsuHina-ish. (At least meant to be HitsuHina-ish.) Response to prompt 36: Above the thunder
When lightning crashes, thunder inevitably follows. It shakes foundations, while the rain and hail beats down, and the lightning burns. He knows this, knows this better than anyone, but he can’t help but pray for the storms to fade. When the storms fade, her eyes will clear.
They will clear, he tells himself over and over again. She will quit swaying, shaking in this horrible storm, and she will see him again. Her eyes will once again be clear.
She will. She will because he makes sure that it is his voice she hears above the thunder.
He keeps whispering.
