We went to the Toledo zoo's Halloween weekend. They had trick-or-treating stations, a magic show and games. The only animal we couldn't see were the gorillas and other monkeys because they don't like costumes.

Our local grocery store, VG's, gives children a free pumpkin if they color a picture. We turned in our picture and the kids each picked out their pumpkin. Amelia's is carved like Larry Boy, Ted's is the Transformer sign, and Spencer & Karah each carved their own.

Easter eve the kids insisted on labeling the baskets so the bunny wouldn't leave the wrong thing in their baskets ;) I think he got it right - An Easter Thomas train for T, Barbie dolls for the girls and Pokemon cards for S. They each got these really cool spill proof bubble buckets and that smart bunny didn't forget about Maggie

What a morning trying to get these four out the door. Almost gave up but figured being cooped up in the house would be worse. I grab the camera, sit them on the stairs, hand them the valentines they're taking to school, ask them to say "Happy Valentine's Day!" and this is the best out of the six I took. I just can't seem to capture a good picture of my son. This year Amelia handed out Hello Kitty fruit snacks and Theodore handed out Spiderman suckers.

What a week! Christmas parties began Sunday morning at Papa B's house for brunch. Then we were off to my parent's house for the traditional Christmas eve party. Scott & I had a quiet Christmas day with the house all to ourselves. Tuesday we were back at my parent's house & Wednesday morning we celebrated our Christmas at home with the kids. ( Read more... )
