"Rose!" Oblivious to the panicked calls she keeps walking, until reaching a cage absent of the milling crowd and bravely puts her hands on the bars, peers at the animal as it sleeps in the heat of the sun. She yelps as a hand grasp her, spinning her.
"Sorry mum."
"What were you thinking? You never ever walk away from me!”
"Wanted to see the wolf." Jackie loosens her hold and looks forward, not finding the appeal.
"This is boring, won't you rather see the elephants?" Rose turns back around facing the slumbering animal and sits on the concrete.
"No."
