I finally got to see my friend Dorothy on Friday. She called and told me about
this party that her boyfriend was going to be a vj at. Words can not accurately describe how much fun it was. The closing DJ is probably the best DJ I've heard live or otherwise. He was amazing. The visuals were a little more low key at this one then at some of the other ones but it still looked amazing.
The most interesting thing was probably the diversity of the people there. Of course you had the people who were taking part in stereotypical recreational activities but there was everything from wicked preppy kids to hippies. There were people in slacks with polo shirts and chicks wearing homemade mini skirts will wings.
The music was so motivating that you just had dance. Many people that know me, know that I like to go out but tend to stay in the background. Dorothy had me up front in the middle dancing like I actually knew how. Everyone was doing their own thing and it blended beautifully.
It was awesome to see her and meet her friends in the city.
I got to listen to music practically all day today, that and read a majority of a book. So today was a pretty good day. People should be allowed to have days like that more often. I bet it would be good for everyone's psyche.
I start working at Borders tomorrow, part time at nights. Hopefully I'll be getting some temp work in the day through the agency. Nothing promising has turned up yet but some substitute reception will help pay the bills.
