(no subject)
i guess it's been quite a while since i updated here, so here's a short entry while i procrastinate studying.
things between julie and i have been great. we're just trying to finish up this quarter. we're taking a short trip to columbus next weekend (17-19) just to get away from cincinnati for a bit. things here at the apartment still suck. our neighbors are annoying, along with almost everyone else who lives here. i wanted to beat our neighbors face in this past saturday, but that's a different story for a different time.
as far as the wedding goes, i we've decided to have it this year for a few reasons. the main one being that neither of us really want to wait til next year. also, with both of us ending our undergraduate careers and trying to get into grad school and law school, as well as julie trying to find a teaching job, it makes more sense to have the wedding this year so it's not extra stress ontop of what we're already going to have next year. we aren't sure of a date yet. we have a meeting thursday evening with the deacon from St. Sussanna (which is were Julie wants to have the wedding), so hopefully that works out and we'll have a definite date by the end of the week.
i'm going to put this out there now so that people aren't disappointed later. it looks as though we're only going to invite family and a few close friends. we're trying to keep the guest list to a minimum so that it doesn't end up costing us a fortune, and seeing as how i have a rather large family, that kind of cuts into how many other people can be invited. hell, i t hink i may even have to limit what family members i invite (as much as i don't want to). i'm thinking about inviting just grandparents, my immediate family (of course), and my aunts, uncles, and cousins. that alone is close to 65 people just for me. then you add in julie's family, and yeah.....you see where i'm going. but don't worry. we do plan on having some kind of party or get together after the wedding with all of our friends.
well, i'm going to get going so i can get some studying done for thursday's final before i have to go pick julie up from class.
