Pregnant rats...

This is my darling DP (BVR Dragon and Phoenix) who's due on Friday.
She's a black satin dumbo - took Best Dumbo Provisional Coat (Satin) Self Doe at the show in May.

Now comes my obligatory OMG FREAKOUT stage. I hate the last week they're pregnant at the same time I love it. I love it because they're so freaking ADORABLE, and you can feel the babies moving if you're lucky and that's always awesome but...
They're so BIG!! And DP's still got 5 more days, and part of me is going "Holy cow she's going to EXPLODE AND DIE!!!"
Note: I have yet to have a rat explode and die. In fact, I've only had to take a laboring rat to the vet twice in 12 years of breeding, and it's never been fatal.
That being said... ZOMG I can't believe she still has FIVE MORE DAYS and she's this fat!! She's going to EXPLODE!!!
