Yeah, it's been a good week so far. *knocks on wood*
(These are in chronological order, not order of significance. Just so you know.)
1. It snowed on Monday. The flakes were basically snowball-sized. I'm definitely not in Texas anymore.
2. I found Harry Potter Clue at Wal-Mart. My whole family played. I was Luna. I haven't had that much fun playing a board game in years, even though I ran out of House Points and was therefore eliminated before the game ended. As if I needed more evidence to prove what an enthusiastic HP fan I am. Then again, I haven't started working on my lion hat for the DH premieres yet.
3. I now have the Firefly soundtrack! *sings theme song with glee*
4. My eighteen-year-old brother hugged me voluntarily for the first time since probably my early high school days. (Well, okay, so it was more like he voluntarily let *me* hug him, rather than running away or holding me off and being generally frustrating for ten minutes until finally caving in so I'd leave him alone, the way he's done every time I've tried to hug him in recent years, but it totally counts! And the fact that Dad was threatening to take his X-Box 360 away forever at the time--or possibly just drive over it--if he didn't hug Mom, so I seized my opportunity while it still existed, is also irrelevant.)
5. I actually wrote a scene for something that isn't fanfiction yesterday. Haven't done that since I wrote my novella for Creative Writing last spring. While it's a little depressing to discover that I'm less familiar with my own characters' speech patterns, emotions, and motivations than I am with those of Joss Whedon's creations, at least my muse is taking an interest in them again. They've been feeling a bit neglected. Now, if only I could pull my head out of this newly discovered batch of Pride and Prejudice fanfiction long enough to finish a chapter of one of my Buffyverse fics...
6. I saw my adorable three-year-old neighbor across the street getting Brownie (my awesome and gorgeous dog) to sit and roll over for treats. She's twice as big as him and won't even do tricks that easily for my dad. It was basically the cutest thing ever.
7. I have a new baby cousin! ^_^
8. Oh hey, it seems that we have Nutella! So...bye! *scampers off to the kitchen*
