Yes. I want to give it some more tests. I assume once I actually get better at the distance metering for it the pictures will be better.

bird question: for the first time in my life while waiting to turn into work, i saw a beautiful all black bird with a bright red chest. what was it? a finch?

....bird sized? lol idk, small? like, maybe robin sized but if you took a robin and stretched it out a bit

I would say it was either a Robin in the new Spring plumage which looks black or maybe a Rose Breasted Grossbeak. It's also possible it was a Red-winged Blackbird that you caught at a weird angle. If it was slightly smaller than a robin I would say maybe an American Redstart. Maybe a Eastern Towhee or Orchard Oriole .. and though I doubt it, it could have been a Scarlet Tanager.

If it was an orchard Oriole I will be officially jealous!!
