Question for home schoolers
I've been thinking about a career in teaching but I am not comfortable traditional classroom setting. I want something more hands on with smaller groups and I thought home schooling might be the answer.
What I am wondering is if there are facilities around that specialize in homeschooling type things that actually hire teachers or if there is a market for homeschooling tutors? Even just a resource that I could contact to get this kind of information would be helpful. I'm looking for something in the sciences (Biology, Earth Sciences, Anthropology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) Also do any of you know what sort of degree this kind of position would require? Do you need a teaching certificate? I have my ACT clearances already so that is not a big deal.
