Big changes
I'm officially a home owner as of February 4, 2010. That's pretty exciting. A few things have masked that excitement though. I'm extremely sick (I can't even talk) and the doctors don't really know what's up. It's not mono or strep. The other thing is my dad's surgery. His tumor came back. It's bigger than it was in 2005. They're doing the same surgery. It's tomorrow morning. I had already taken tomorrow off two weeks ago, but since I'm so sick, I'd have to take off anyhow. I'm worried but not worried. I don't want to stress over it, but I am scared. I know he doesn't want us to worry, so I'm trying to be fine. We leave at 5:15 a.m. to head to the hospital. That's all I really want to say about that...
So I haven't worked on National Boards much. I need to get that done soon. My kids this semester are okay. I have more discipline issues with my freshmen. I'm not used to that anymore, but it's under control for the most part. One of them blurted out that I was pretty and asked why I wasted my time with such a loser like Capacetti. I just hushed him and told them to not worry about my life or insult others, but it secretly made me smile inside. Haha. Small victories. My new juniors think I'm mean, so my old ones come back to tell me. I don't like or dislike them right now; I'm still trying to get a feel for them. They seem pretty great so far.
I'm tryint to spend the day with my family today. Bud just got here. He's more worried about seeing David and bowling and a super bowl party, and my dad is pretty upset about it. I am pissed. It's the day before his major brain tumor surgery, and Bud is visiting with friends. Are you kidding me? Ugh.
