development changes

An upgrade on the synth is in the works (and I'm not finished with it yet).
I have 8 C64 SID 6582 chips showing up. these are the last batch ever made by the Commodore Semiconductor Group. all coming from an aussie warehouse New Old Stock style. The suckers have been setting in antistatic tubes for the past 15 years and have never been put in a machine. Let's hear it for rare obsolete and rare parts!
gonna have to drop in new CPUs for added functionality that will give the synth stereo and polyphonic capability, and 4 more core boards for the additional sids.

My contract at expedia ends on the 16th. I hope I can find something to go to as soon as it ends. I'm sick of going from job to job with the paycheck to paycheck living with no income security. The stress in that will prolly end up killing me. I must come up with an alternate way of generating income. Perhaps I should start doing a small business of "custom built analog synth - to customer specs" online. Maybe I should get serious about busting out some tracks that I've been told are club worthy and sell CDs.

My cohort and myself have been reworking the Hawaii idea. We like Hawaii and all, but there are 2 downsides to moving there. It's too isolated and still falls under the jurisdiction of the US government. We've picked another place, all the way across the other side of the "biggest pond" instead of the middle of it. We are looking at living with the Roos, platys, and various other marsupials with the aussies.
