Bored out of my mind and wanting to get back into the crafy mode, but having no sewing machine, ruler, fabric/washable marker or chalk or any of my other supplies- I made a summer tank.

It was very hot the last couple weeks, so I made a couple shirts to stay a bit cooler. Both are no-sew.

I left my sewing machines back in Canada when I moved here,so I havent been able to do much sewing.However,I was starting to go mad without my lovely creative outlet,so I picked up a needle and thread.Hopefully a running stitch + whipstitching will keep everything together for 5 mos.

Okay, I didn't plan on posting anything for a long time, but I'm super excited about what I discovered from methods shown in the community recently. Now to do them on shirts I'll probably actually finish!

I haven't posted here for ages, but at last exams are over and I can start sewing again. Here are only 2 rather boreing surgeries but soon I'll post more stuff.

I made this shirt out of a shirt I bought from Walmart 3 years ago.  The front of it had a graphic on it with a kitten in a shopping bag that said "I Love To Shop" across it.  But the graphic faded.....

I first put the shirt on and vaguely drew where I wanted the neck to be.  I cut it where I marked and then I pulled on it a little to steatch it out ( Read more... )
