Why could Jack bring Ianto back with a snog and not Owen?

The theories I have read are that he had a connection with Ianto.

Aside from the obvious smutty remark to that *grins* wouldn't he have had an emotional attachment to Owen as well?

Haven't thought about really. There is very obviously much more of an emotional connection between Jack and Ianto for various reasons. I did wonder the same frankly.

I think in Iantos cae his heart might have stopped momentarily/drowning, which as we know it's quite possible to bring back someone from - in drowning it can be several minutes if the body's kept cool - the life energy from Jack being the equivalent of a jolt with the paddles, or compressions or breathing for someone.

Bullet, on the other hand? trauma. tissue damage. Pretty awful tissue damage at that - we saw how Owen's got a hole in him still, at least at the front, no idea what the exit hole's like.

That is a theory someone has put forward on my journal. It makes a lot of sense.
