Appointment with the referral doc, 1:30 pm tomorrow. His office is on the same side of the city as me! (Which means about half the travel time. Good stuff.)
Totally unrelated: I remember why I used to love Star Trek:TNG so much. Captain Picard is so wise. And my favourite episodes, it seems, are the ones with Data exploring his humanity. The one on now is the one where he's having is first romantic encounter. Ever since the first time I saw it (and laughed uproariously), when I hear the question, "What are you thinking about?" in a romantic setting, I've always thought of his answer and it makes me giggle. Gotta love literal interpretation.
Cable's still not shut off. How odd. I knew they have a tendency to take awhile with the TV part of it ~ I've known people to still have their cable package months later, for free, because it has to be disconnected at the house end of things ~ but they've shut off my internet before and it was pretty instantaneous...though it might've just seemed that way because I wasn't expecting it (late payment and miscommunication).
Fair enough, though, as I still can't re-set up the DSL until my credit card payment hits the account, which could be another day or two. Technology: Love it or Hate it, but I wouldn't wanna live without it. I'm not too concerned about waiting to set up the DSL, except the digital camera offer is only "while supplies last" and as that's one big reason I'm switching, I'd hate to miss out.
