The whole "Ginny and Trelawney are BFFs" thing seems to be made up entirely, or possibly imported from Psychic Serpent, as in canon there's no indication that they have any kind of relationship beyond teacher/student.

The whole setup with Ginny and Trelawney being the best of friends kind of came across as subtle Character Bashing toward Ginny, considering Harry and Hermione's rather frequent expressions of distaste toward Trelawney and the subject of Divination whenever either are brought up, which is also emulated by Neil with Jamie's seeming complete ineptitude at the subject.

Harry didn't like Divination and wasn't very good at it, but never hated Trelawney. He didn't have any reason to. He (and Hermione and Ron) just saw her as a harmless kook.

He still had a certain amount of distaste toward Trelawney, though it was definitely not as large or as pronounced as Hermione's.

Neil can't do subtlety to save his life, so this distaste becomes outright hatred in HE.

No kidding.

I wasn't lying when I said this fanfic is what made me appreciate the true comedic beauty of My Immortal...

My Immortal is magnificently lolarious and actually better written than Hogwarts Exposed, textspeak and all.

It helps that My Immortal was likely a troll fic. This... isn't.

I could say the same for a lot of unintentional badfic including the ones that My Immortal was (probably) parodying, of course. This, for goodness' sake, whose author doesn't even know to start a new paragraph for a new speaker, is still better written than Hogwarts Exposed!
