Slumdog Millionaire??? Where did this movie come from? Best Director and Best Motion Picture Drama...? For a movie about an Indian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire... guess I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD..limited releases suck.
Mickey Rourke! won Best Actor for The Wrestler. This is being hailed as Mickey's comeback, and based on what I've seen of it, that may be true. BTW, during his speech he thanked his dogs, yes, his dogs!
KATE WINSLET!!!!!!!!!!!!! Won Best Supporting Actress for The Reader and Best Actress for Revolutionary Road. OMG she is amazing, and her speech for Best Actress is one for the history books.. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Meryl! Anne! Kristin! Oh God! Who's the other one! ANGELINA!" and "Leo! I'm so happy I can stand up here and tell you how much I love you and how much I've loved you for thirteen years! I love you with all my heart." And then she thanked her husband.
Sacha Baron Cohen..presented an award and made some jokes about Charlie Sheen paying for sex and Madonna firing a personal assistant, "Our hearts go out to you Guy Ritchie," and the audience boo's him...and he didn't even care! He was probably thinking My job is done. KTHXBI!
30 Rock, the most amazing comedy on TV, won Best TV Series Comedy, Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy for Tina Fey (who is totally awesome, btw!) and Best Actor in a TV Series Comedy for Alec Baldwin.
