Wow... Winter Quarter
Hello LJ, and Happy New Year to LJ... sorry I never write in this anymore, but I figured since I am now done with finals that I try and blog something about it.
Winter Quarter was one hell of a ride... mostly bad. No, I'm not depressed as I had been one year ago at this time, but more so this quarter provided me with a lot of challenges that have helped me to really mature as a person.
To sum it up in difficulty, this was by far the harshest quarter college has dealt me. I've had the following on my back all quarter long, and it's still going on even now:
1. FAMILY - Financial crises, tough situation, feeling useless, harsh uncle on your back, and a freshmen cousin who doesn't know what he's talking about.
2. RA - I've had only one incident, but three major roommate conflicts, people wanting to move out, a resident DID move out, a resident cried in front of me, mediating three tough issues with these rooms (one sending me over my abilities)... and a suicidal resident on top.
3. CKI - Last quarter as secretary, and it was awards season...
4. ACADEMICS - Rough, the above three took a tole on me, and it shows on my grades
5. LIFE - Some friends have really made it difficult for me this quarter, but there are the genuine ones. I make the most out of my life... I am definitely trying to be less cynical over the things I do and just embrace life as it comes.
6. INTERNSHIP - I might or might not have found my calling in life... we'll see.
It was no joke this quarter, and I am so surprised and proud of myself for getting through. Nobody else can ever imagine what I had to deal with these past two and a half months.
Luckily my two major outlets this quarter includes: my trip to New England and Dance Marathon 2009... oh great times these were. Thanks Fei for the experience; it was definitely something I will remember and embrace... more than you could ever imagine.
Things to look forward to:
1. Fixing my family over Spring Break
2. Britney concert (April 19th!)
3. 21st Birthday!
4. Korean BBQ with Staff
5. Medieval Times
6. Waiting for a cute guy to respond to my message :)
