Sewage

I quit yet another course halfway through this week. For fairly good reasons though... I've been extremely stressed recently (enough to sleep restlessly and only a few hours per night) due to having so many things to do (theoretically anyway). So I decided to quit the dull course on enlightenment politics and philosophy that required a relatively difficult assignment* I'll concentrate on the pro seminar study, japanese popular culture course and the snillion four exams I'll have to do on various books for maritime history & general history.

Anyways, instead of going to the lecture I finally decided to learn to use the sewing machine that we got for christmas. It works a bit differently from mom's machine (which is where most of my sewing experience is from), but I got along with the new machine fairly well. Although it has the same problem as mom's that you can't really sew slowly - if you try to press the pedal gently it doesn't do anything and when you press a bit harder it goes on turbo speed. Still, I managed to repair a pair of trousers rather nicely so it wasn't bad at all.

In other news, I've also drawn a new page of Taking Islands but haven't bothered scanning it yet. That I guess covers the "random entry once every three weeks" department for now. ^^

* = For the record, I find the enlightenment in general extremely interesting. The course in question was held by a lecturer I knew from experience to be super-dull and his friend who turned out to be even duller, hence my lack of interest.
