So much for weekend plans…
Megan and her boys are sick so they won’t be coming over. And the kitchen faucet decided to stop working last night, so tomorrow morning is plumber time. At least I’ll have more time to hit the hardware store for supplies and mount the first of the baby gates. (I would be mounting two of them, but the store only had one in stock) I also need to dig out the paperwork for the ’76 Fiat in preparation for getting rid of it.
In other news… with any given alarm clock it is only a matter of time before I become so accustomed to it that I either sleep through the alarm, or figure out how to disable the alarm in my sleep. The result is that I replace my alarm clock from time to time. Today I found, and ordered, a cool little alarm clock with a tiny built in tesla coil that discharges through a glass tube when the ‘alarm’ goes off. The base of the clock is… well… god awful ugly, but… it’s a tesla coil alarm clock! How could I not get it? As an added bonus I grabbed it on sale… $17.99 as apposed to the list price of $64.99. I would have bought two so that I could take one apart, but it was the last one in stock and near as I can tell the manufacturer doesn’t make them anymore.
