Okay so I don't like Halo. Halo 3's hype is hurting me, because I don't like the game. The story I am mildly interested in, but given Bungie's inability to communicate a story aside from the cliched cutscenes, and their absolute ineptitude at level design, there is no way I'd pay a cent for it.
But the advertisements below actually makes me look forward to a game I do not want. That is some great marketing.

MuseumBelieve I'd almost say the second one surpasses the infamous Gears of War "Mad World" advertisement in emotional effect. The music really helps. I think it's just a matter of taking the medium out of the equation, and so without adrenaline pumping through the people who watch the ads, it's able to evoke other emotions.
