Wow. You are really shaking up your world in this chapter. So many subtle shifts in feelings, allegiances, relationships and situations. And you aren't cutting your characters many breaks.
Jim and Dael are very interesting together, at once outre and conventional. And then there's Len who's dealing with...well, Chris feels like a blank slate to me. I just wanna give them both big hugs.
The POV change totally allowed for shaking all the things we already know a little, illuminating new and other aspects of the foursome. What they feel, how feelings change - this part was really fun to write.
Jim and Dael have that dream of HappyFamilyLife in the back of their heads, a lot more than the other two, and it's not in conflict for them with their relaxed, flexible sexual activities.

Chris is definitely still in reset mood, trying hard to control what exactly he lets back into his life, defining his limits and ignoring things outside. And he doesn't want the pieces just back in place, he's not the man he used to be, hasn't probably been for a while either.
The foursome will keep together, promised! All four of them, and also the main couples substructure (Jim/Bones, Chris/Dael). This "in the middle" thing, yes, it looks like that at times, but they'll get a hold on it :)
Thanks so much for another interesting commentary!
