MSWindows, if you're installing updates, just admit it.
How can it take 10+ minutes for a laptop to shut down if the only applications I was running were a browser with one tab and the VPN?
Oh, now, after 17 minutes, you say "Configuring Windows updates/Do not turn off your computer."
What if I were shutting down because I knew I was about to lose power? What if "do not turn off" is not an option?
The shutdown took 20 minutes. Not acceptable - not without consulting the user first.
(Maybe I should have shut down the VPN before shutting down the laptop, so it couldn't have spent 17 minutes downloading updates?)
