I didn't want to be a mother until after I had an abortion.
After the abortion, it felt like the wrong choice.
What it ignores is that before the abortion, she didn't want to be a mother. Maybe she should have been considering offering the child for adoption. But if she didn't want to be a parent, having an abortion is not an obviously-wrong choice.
And wanting to be a mother after the abortion doesn't mean she would have wanted to be a mother after the birth.
Not every woman wants to be a mother. And there's nothing wrong with that.
