moving targets

I rushed to work today for a meeting at 15:00. (I was late.) I had not seen the email sent at 05:04 cancelling the meeting. ☹

The same person rescheduled a meeting yesterday to half an hour earlier. Two of us missed that; the other person was the key person for the meeting. The email was sent 8 minutes before the new (earlier) time, and neither of us was on line; it wasn't our normal time to be working. (I was on my way to the office. I am not checking email on the bike. And even if I had somehow gotten the message, I can't change my departure time after I depart.)

You can't move meetings on short notice when you have people working wildly-different schedules. We will not get the memo.

(When I remember,) I check my calendar before I log off for the night. And that determines when - or whether - I set an alarm. If you schedule (or reschedule) a meeting for me, I'm not going to see the email about it until mid-afternoon.

Saturday 02:25

I stayed at the office late enough to get fast food for dinner. I had a headache coming home on the bike. I think I might be allergic to something in McDonald's chicken nuggets, honey-mustard sauce, or bbq sauce. ☹ I am suspecting many of my headaches may be food allergies.
