A new indoor cycling studio is coming to Columbia Pike.
CycleBar, which offers vigorous instructor-led spin classes set to "mind-blowing" music playlists, is coming to 3400 Columbia Pike, according to its website.
Its next-door neighbors include Sugar Shack Donuts and Chipotle.
Riding a stationary bike is one of those things that just never resonated with me. If the weather's good, you could be biking outdoors, getting fresh air and seeing new things. If the weather's bad, maybe you should take a day off. Winter is not a reason not to bike. There are all kinds of outdoor winter sports. Some of these indoor cyclists probably go skiing, so it can't be the cold keeping them indoors. Get warm clothes; get lights; and bike all year. (Yes, there are places where winter cycling is a place too far, but this isn't one of them. Arlington County even treats and plows the major bike trails.)

How many people are going to drive to the CycleBar? Public transit isn't bad in Arlington, but are the people who go to cycling salons the people who ride transit? (The people who bike as basic transportation might take transit, but I don't think they pay money to cycle indoors; they're already getting exercise.) And the irony of being next to a Sugar Shack donut shop? ☺

[Do you know of many addresses with more than two "next-door" neighbors? ("include" vs "are")]
