Yesterday was the Rosslyn Jazz Fest. This is the first time in ages I've been aware of it and not had any conflicts (weekend work, trips to NC, or Maryland RennFest). But I didn't feel like going anywhere. Heat. Crowds.

The Folklore Society's Takoma Park Folk Festival would be this weekend, but it's not happening this year. There is a day of folk music lined up in its place, but I don't feel like bothering to get to that today either. And the link to the street closures for the Rosslyn Jazz Fest led to another page of street closures today for Samuel Beckett's Celtic Festival in Shirlington (the midpoint of my commute before my job moved downtown). It's 4th year, and I'd never even heard of it.

I just don't care to go anywhere today. I don't even feel like thinking enough to do the codework needed for my website. I'm going to stay home and continue (5-year-old) catch-up posting to DW/LJ.

Sunday 23:08

I've made 34 DW/LJ postings this weekend, 2011/july/01-25.
I've been outside all afternoon, in a sweatshirt and sweatpants, with a box fan to discourage mosquitoes. It's 76°F/24.4°C and I'm chilly.

Monday 11:52

Another 9 DW/LJ postings this morning. (A couple combined multiple, related entries that didn't need to be separate postings.) vvalkyri commented that dates aren't showing up for her, so I will stop removing the timestamps from the posting text. The dates show in my headings (better on DW than LJ, where she's reading), but it's not a hardship for me to leave them in. Who knows how many other people would see the same problem?
