The context was Congressional hearings on global warming, but it applies to other issues....How does gay marriage harm "conventional" hetero marriage?
Vaccines do not cause autism.
Medical treatment at the beginning of an illness is much cheaper than waiting for it to become serious.
Giving people housing is cheaper than (badly) managing all the consequences of homelessness.
Some of the people on the nonsense side are just uninformed. Perhaps by choice (adherence to beliefs). But some are financially dependent on the nonsense. If you sell petroleum, you don't want people switching to non-polluting, renewable energy. The worst thing you could hear is that wind and solar have become price-competitive with oil, along with being green and clean.
