snow commute; blood drive

Dec 05, 2005 19:00

Karma points for me! I'm at a blood drive. And I biked to work today. There were just traces of flakes as I arrived at work today, and it seemed to maybe be kicking up when I left work. There was enough snow to make the yards look pretty. The roads were wet, but clear. I didn't see any traffic problems on my route, but I don't take any major highways. The bulk of the storm is predicted to be more to the south and east.Well, that took long time. Between work and the weather, I got to the blood drive half an hour late. But with their backlog, I don't think that mattered. I had a 45-minute wait before the interview/temperature/blood-pressure/iron check started. The whole thing took 2 hours. But I got a T-shirt:

And the cookies were good.

snow, bike, blood, t-shirts
