DVR fakeout

Dear networks:

If you list the same show with 2 different titles, my DVR will not figure out that they are the same show:If the recording is based on the title, only one will match. But if the program is selected because of some attribute in the description or cast, I'll get 2 recordings. And if you assign different program IDs to the same show, my DVR will again not figure out that they are the same show:
  • SH016121210000
  • MV005057190000
Even stranger that one ID would be for an ordinary show, while the other is for a movie. Most movies are longer than 1 hour. (Apparently the DVD is 90 minutes, but the program as aired is under 1 hour.)

The program is interesting. Its main points are (a) there is zero corroborating evidence for the supposition that the contemporaneous William Shaksper of Stratford-Upon-Avon was any sort of writer, and (b) there is a great deal of evidence and supportable conjecture that Edward De Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, was the actual author. And it is important to know who the real author is, because the what we know of the author's life influences how we interpret the plays' subtexts and nuances. The characters in the plays may resemble (and even parody) real people, so we need to know which of these historical personages the author might have actually known.
