There was just a story on NPR's Morning Edition about a sharp decrease in setting off fireworks for Chinese New Year because the air quality is so bad. The trend for the future looks bad for the fireworks industry. It looks to me like there should be a ripe market for something electronic that gives the flash and the bang without the smoke....
