Appreciation Dinner

Finally, a (virtual-)physical announcement of this long-promised appreciation dinner. The date has slipped another week. But we are allowed to bring a guest (spouse/partner).

Question: how can you host an event "for the entire team" during hours that part of the team is scheduled to work? I normally work until 19:00, and someone else takes over for me at 19:00, and there's someone in another group on site until 22:00. I would have to leave work at 17:00 (2 hours early) to pick up my spouse and get to the restaurant by 18:00.

Subject: [Project] Appreciation Dinner
When: Monday, 2013 June 10 18:00-21:00 (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).
Where: Tysons Galleria Mall - Maggiano's Italian Restaurant

In recognition and appreciation for all of the hard work the team has done on the [Project] program over this past year, we are hosting a dinner party for the entire team at Maggiano's Italian Restaurant at the Galleria Mall in Tysons Corner. This is a casual event meant for both [Contractor] employee's [sic - he is Mr Gratuitous Apostrophe*] and subcontractors to [Contractor] as well as your spouse or partner (sorry, no kids are allowed at this event). A separate e-vite will be forthcoming, with the location. Please respond to this e-vite as it will be used to get a tally and headcount of the participants.

Regards,
*I shouldn't complain; he's also the guy who approves those incentive awards (bonuses).
