ring?

anniemal and the van were gone when I got home last night, and still weren't back when I went to bed. I didn't find a note or email. The van was back this morning, and I assumed Annie was asleep.

I had a meeting this afternoon, and the other 2 people in the room noticed, apparently for the first time, that I was wearing a wedding ring. I would guess that there's been maybe 2 days in my 2.5 years working here that I've forgotten to wear my ring. I usually take it off to wash it when I take a shower, and I sometimes take it off for yard work or other tasks handling rocks or metal. Otherwise, I generally am wearing it. (If for some reason I want it to be less conspicuous, I might rotate it 180° exposing the back side, which is still an interesting look (but not so comfortable because of the bulk against my palm, but I suppose I could become accustomed to it if I wore it that way regularly). And I sometimes take it off in meetings to play with it, because it is a puzzle ring....
Interesting question - If I couldn't have both, would I be happier in an office with walls and a door, or a workspace with a window? Privacy or daylight?

I know my attitude about this place got a lot better after I moved myself from a shared cubicle to an empty cubicle on the (windowed) outside wall. But I miss having a door I can close (to discourage chattering) and being able to change my clothes in my office. I'm generally the last one here so I could change, except that there's this glass wall, and after dark people can see in but we can't see out.

[2017: I would prefer a window, for daylight. (Even working at night.☺)]
