British Columbia (Canada) is banning campfires until October.
They set nationwide all-time temperature records Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; 45°C/113°F, 47°C/116.6°F, and 49.5°C/121.1°F.

Earlier this week, Lytton, about 260 kilometres northeast of Vancouver, recorded the highest temperature ever seen in Canada on three consecutive days, topping out at 49.6 C on Tuesday.

233 deaths over 4-day period
The BC Coroners Service says there has been a significant increase in deaths since Friday, with extreme heat suspected to have played a fatal role.
The elderly, children, outdoor workers, homeless people and those with pre-existing medical conditions are all at greater risk of heat-related illness and death.
