corollary attack

My office phone will tell me what calls it received - the caller's number - and whether I answered them. Why doesn't it also tell me what calls it forwarded? When I miss those forwarded calls, my cell phone (my only forwarding target) shows them as coming from the agency's main number, so I don't even know whether they were calls originating at work or forwarded through the office. If there is a voice mail, it usually doesn't say anything useful, like identifying the caller and giving the reason for the call. If it wasn't worth leaving a (useful) message, was it worth calling?

Too many meetings.
Law of diminishing returns.
Corollary of too many meetings.
[Well, it seemed funny at the time.]
