Actually.. scratch that.. I don't mind weddings. It's the reception that I hate, and wearing formal clothes. I can take a few hours of it and still be in good spirits. But by 7 or 8PM I just want to get the fuck out of there and I'll be damned if anyone tries to stop me.
I hate the terrible music, the tons of people I don't even know, the annoying friends of family that I also don't know, the drunk idiots that always try to talk to you, the people that always try to make you dance.. I hate the music, the clothes, the shmoozing, the general atmosphere.. everything. I hate it.
AUGH! It know it's such a terrible thing to loathe this much, but I can't help it. These kinds of events just aren't.. -me-. I can't sit there and talk with someone I've never met before in my life about the most dull subjects like the school I'm not going to yet or my crappy job I'm temporarily layed off from.
On the bright side this does broaden my list of people never to invite to my own wedding someday. I don't care how close you are to the family. If I don't like you. You won't be there. So eat my balls. My wedding is going to be best friends and immediate family only. And there will be music from EVERY genre, the way people dress won't have to be suits and dresses as long as it's semi-formal. Kahki's and a nice button up shirt will do just find guys! Ladies, a Nice pant or a comfy dress/skirt is fine! No need to get something flashy or full of itchy taffeta or wear a monkey suit and a tie! I want people to be comfortable. And if I don't have fancy flaming deserts and choreographed catering.. so what? Why should I have to impress you? My wedding is MY day and I can't wait to do it the RIGHT way.
So keeping inviting us to your over the top tight ass fancy wedding's and receptions. Go on. I'll keep suffering through them so I know exactly what NOT to do.
Stupid married people. >_
